Vocera Communications, Inc. (NYSE:VCRA), a recognized leader in clinical communication and workflow solutions, is expanding and improving its Fort Wayne facility, which now encompasses 28,000-square-feet. The Hagerman Group, a construction solutions provider with locations in Fort Wayne, Ind., Fishers, Ind.and Louisville, Ky., is the construction manager for the project, and Fort Wayne architect MKM architecture + design is the local architect of record.
“We wanted to create a space that inspires more collaboration among our employees, while providing different kinds of areas where they can be productive, have some fun, or take a moment to focus on their well-being,” said Jim Blastos, vice president of operations at Vocera. “The Hagerman Group and MKM have been flexible throughout the renovation project, helping us meet our operational objectives and improve the work experience for our employees.”
The renovation extends Vocera’s footprint 50 percent and mirrors the look and feel of the company’s headquarters in San Jose, Calif. The office upgrade includes new finishes and information technology systems, redesigned workspaces for more than 80 employees, and the addition of more windows, conference rooms and a training center. New amenities include a larger break area, a wellness room, game room and phone rooms.
