February marked April’s 30th year with The Hagerman Group. Through her role as Hagerman’s graphic design specialist, April communicates information to clients and prospective clients by using her design skills to plan, develop, and produce visual materials.
What made you decide to pursue a career in construction?
I enjoy watching the building process and seeing an empty place filling with something useful to the community.
What do you enjoy most about working in construction?
I enjoy driving around seeing what Hagerman has built and knowing that it will be around for many years to come.
What do you enjoy most about working at The Hagerman Group?
It takes a team to be successful in the construction industry. I’m truly blessed to work with so many wonderful people and to help others using the talents God has given me.
How has Hagerman supported your career path?
I have been fortunate to have had excellent supervisors who have been a pleasure to work with and who have encouraged my professional and personal growth. It is comforting to know they have my best interests at heart.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Being outdoors, walking, riding my bike and especially traveling – I love the beach!
What’s a fun fact that people don’t know about you?
I love lighthouses because they are so tall and majestic! I have visited lighthouses in California, Illinois, Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, the Bahamas and Aruba. I plan to visit as many as I can.
