A need was realized at the existing IU Health Arnett Ambulatory Services Center to add a Wound Care Center with a hyperbaric chamber room. The pressurization of a hyperbaric chamber allows oxygen to be pushed deeper into the tissues throughout the body, therefore promoting the healing process by maximizing the amount of oxygen in the blood that can reach the injured area. Hagerman was commissioned to build a Wound Care addition to match the existing ASC, including two hyperbaric chambers, patient rooms, nurses’ work station, and support spaces.
