Target capacity for this new elementary school was 600-700 of K-4 grade level students. The new school was designed to enhance 21st century instruction methods and is, therefore, different from other schools in the district. The District underwent a visioning process to determine the optimal space program to match the education vision of the district.

Hagerman has been involved with numerous projects in the Hamilton Southeastern School District, including the new New Junior/Senior High School and renovation of the existing high school to a Freshman Center that was complete in June 2012 and delivered via the design-build process with CSO Architects. It was an award-winning project. Hagerman was recently awarded another new elementary school at HSE–Wayne Township Elementary School–which will replace the current Durbin Elementary.
